When cyclists register for Cure on Wheels, they are signing up for a fundraising mission first, and a bike ride second. Cure on Wheels take this commitment seriously. We expect almost 20 percent of all Cure on Wheels cyclists will achieve "High Roller" status by raising $2,000. The fundraising minimum requirement is $250 ($25 for the 7 mile Family Ride) with incentives for fundraising at the $250, $500 and $2000 levels, depending on the route. We believe that once you write or email your friends, family and co-workers, you will find it very easy to exceed your fundraising goal! The fundraising deadline is November 15th. We will however, take a snapshot of your fundraising activity on September 15, 2010 for the purposes of ordering. We encourage you to continue fundraising and all additional fundraising levels achieved before the final deadline of November 15th, 2010 will receive their awards after a final order is placed.
Raising money for Moffitt Cancer Center and All Children's Hospital is the core of the Cure on Wheels mission. Cure on Wheels funds will enable clinicians and scientists to pursue innovative research that has the potential to achieve the results that will warrant National Institutes of Health (NIH), or other private and government grants. In so many cases, this early support has fostered the development of some of the most important advances made in cancer research over the last two decades. Furthermore, raising money for families and individuals enduring the disease will help to improve their daily quality of life and make an immediate impact for residents of Tampa Bay.
