About Volunteering

This year, the Cure on Wheels will rely on approximately 100 wonderful volunteers who will work together like a well-oiled machine to ensure a safe, comfortable, and enjoyable weekend for all involved. Our volunteers have a job equally important to that of our riders and we are immeasurably grateful for their efforts. It is their diligence and hard work that allows Cure on Wheels to put on a world-class ride. In this section you will learn about Cure on Wheels volunteering, the various opportunities available, how to prepare and what to expect on Cure on Wheels weekend, and what volunteers can do as fundraisers and Virtual Riders for Cure on Wheels. Use the links above and in the left-hand navigation bar to learn more.

Water Stops

Roughly every twenty miles along the route, Cure on Wheels riders' find an oasis that provides the sustenance they need to go on: liquids to drink, food to eat, medical and bike mechanical assistance if needed. Often theme-based, each Cure on Wheels waterstop has a look and feel all its own. Volunteers are needed to set-up the location, distribute healthy snacks and liquids, and manage the flow of traffic through the site.
